Introducing Loïc Archer: The New Head Coach of Scarborough Aces

Scarborough Rugby Football Club is pleased to introduce the 2025 Senior Head Coach, Loïc Archer, to the Aces this summer. Once the 2025 matches with Rugby Club Riomois in Championnat de France, Archer is set to arrive on Canadian soil.

With an impressive track record of success and a passion for the sport, Loïc brings a wealth of experience and a fresh perspective to the team. Known for his strategic acumen and ability to inspire players to reach their full potential in one-on-one or group training, Archer is eager to lead the Aces to new heights in the upcoming season. The 1XV Senior Aces have placed 4th overall in the two seasons of rugby 15s played in the top Ontario Women’s divisions available in the province. As a team, we are looking to break the podium this summer with an extra focus on youth development and expansive play.

“[I am] very happy to cross the Atlantic for an adventure that will be short but intense, which should be a real bowl of freshness.

~ Loïc Archer

Club President, Petra Woods, describes the opportunity to have a French coach, “I am grateful that Loïc has kept a relationship and close following on the Aces throughout the years, to make their transition to coaching in Canada smooth. Our club is extremely excited to have a bilingual coach, who can encourage new members from all over the province to join our growing family.

Scarborough athletes are confident that under Loïc’s leadership, the Senior rugby team will continue to thrive and build upon their evolving legacy. The Scarborough RFC board members are thrilled to embark on this new chapter together and look forward to seeing the Aces soar to new victories under Loïc’s guidance. Archer’s move to Scarborough, Toronto, is inspired by recent international travel in 2024 to New Zealand to assist with their Premier Club, where he assisted with the back and attack structures for Bombay RFC. Following his strong passion for travelling and rugby, Scarborough Aces are excited to be a part of his journey.

Let’s come together to support our team and make this season one to remember. Welcome Coach Archer, to the Scarborough Rugby Football Club family! GO ACES!
